Maintaining their consistently excellent output, London label Slow Dance have announced Polish born singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist aga ujma’s debut EP Songs of Innocence and Experience. Taking its title from William Blake's seminal illustrated poetry book, 'Night' is an early magical musing from the piece. Taking inspiration from Indonesian experimentalism and the avant-garde, 'Night's otherworldly echoes are grounded in a whimsical folk realm. Ujma explains: "The song is inspired by Pauline Oliveiros’ Sonic Meditations - a set of beautiful listening exercises that I discovered in my library at uni and that I would recommend everyone to try. Number 5 meditations instructions are as follows: Take a walk at night. Walk so silently that the bottoms of your feet become ears.."
